GR®54 - Tour de l'Oisans et des Ecrins

Description

The GR®54 circuits the Oisans and Écrins massif starting from Bourg-d'Oisans. Renowned as one of the most difficult GR routes in France: high mountain terrain, 14 passes, slippery schist, and snow often lingering well into the season. Refuges are well distributed throughout the route. Mobile coverage is absent across most of the route, the guide works offline. Tour de l'Oisans - Default direction: clockwise Écrins National Park: Bivouac regulated. Permitted from 7pm to 9am, more than one hour's walk from road access points and the boundaries of the park's core zone. Small tents only (not tall enough to stand up in). Dogs strictly prohibited (including on a lead). Fires and picking of plants strictly prohibited. Gas stoves permitted. Drones and mountain bikes prohibited.
