GR®56 - Tour de l'Ubaye

Description

The GR®56 circuits the Ubaye valley starting from Méolans-Revel, between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Alpes-Maritimes. The path alternates between sections in the Mercantour National Park and more accessible stretches. High mountain terrain, well waymarked. Accommodation exists but is sparse on some sections, forward planning is recommended. Mobile coverage is absent on the higher sections : the guide works offline. Parc national du Mercantour: Bivouac permitted between 7pm and 9am, more than one hour's walk inside the Park boundaries or from the last road access. Fires prohibited (including smoking). Dogs prohibited. Drone flights prohibited.
