GR®70 - Chemin de Stevenson

Description

The GR®70, also known as the Stevenson Trail, follows the route taken by the Scottish writer in 1878, accompanied by his donkey Modestine, from Le Puy-en-Velay to Alès. It is an accessible path with no major technical difficulty, well waymarked and well served by guesthouses — many of which welcome pack donkeys. This guide covers the entire route, from Le Puy-en-Velay to Alès, with accommodation and resupply points. It works offline, so it's available even in the more remote stretches of the Massif Central and the Cévennes.
