Departure
Canterbury (Angleterre)
Arrival
Santa Maria di Leuca (Pouilles, Italie)
The Via Francigena runs from Canterbury to Santa Maria di Leuca over nearly 3,000 kilometres through four countries: England, France, Switzerland and Italy. It is one of Europe's great historic pilgrimages, waymarked as a Council of Europe Cultural Route. The path is well waymarked in France and Italy, more variable in other sections. Accommodation is available throughout, with varying density depending on the country. Works offline — essential on the Alpine sections and stretches far from any services.
