Meraner Höhenweg - Alta Via di Merano

Description

A circular high route that loops right around the Texel Group, well marked and clearly signed for its whole length. The path stays demanding, with cabled passages, ladders and built stairways on the more alpine and exposed northern section. Mountain huts, inns and alpine pastures line the loop and provide food and a bed at every stage, so there is no need to carry a bivouac. The circuit passes through several accessible villages where you can restock between the high sections. The guide covers the entire route with the huts, alpine pastures and resupply points. There is no mobile signal on the higher sections, so the guide works offline.
