Description

A demanding alpine high route that links eight DAV/ÖAV huts, staying high around the valley and never dropping back down between stages. The ground is genuine high mountain terrain: steep traverses, scree, cable and stemple secured passages, and snowfields that linger early in the season. The route suits fit hikers who are comfortable on rocky, exposed ground. Staffed huts are the only lodging and resupply along the way; they often fill up in summer and must be booked ahead. The guide covers the whole loop with the huts and resupply points. Works offline, essential where there is no signal.
