Tour du Mont Thabor

Description

A waymarked mountain circuit on a GR de Pays that links several high passes around the summit of the Thabor. The ground stays high-mountain in character: exposed sections near the cols and possible snowfields early in the season. Staffed refuges are spaced along the loop and let you walk it from hut to hut, but they are often full in summer and resupply between stages is limited. The climb to the summit adds on easily from the Refuge du Mont Thabor. The guide covers the whole route with the passes, the staffed refuges and the bivouac spots.
