Via Alpina Suisse

Description

A grand traverse of the Swiss Alps from east to west, from Liechtenstein to Lake Geneva, crossing many passes while keeping close to the ranges of the Northern Alps. The terrain is high-mountain, with demanding sections such as the Hohtürli, the high point of the route. The itinerary follows SuisseMobile national route 1, well waymarked and signed along its whole length. Stages rely on villages, inns and mountain huts, with regular resupply in the valleys crossed. The guide covers the entire route with accommodation and resupply points. Mobile coverage is absent on the high sections and passes; the guide works offline.
